Hemlock accessibility review demo

This is a safe, non-production review site built from the audit findings. Its job is to show the intended accessible "after" experience on representative pages before any live Shopify implementation is approved.

How to review this

  1. Open each representative page below and compare it against your expectations for the Hemlock brand and shopping experience.
  2. Focus on whether the corrected accessible experience still feels like Hemlock visually and functionally.
  3. Use the carve-outs section to understand what still requires Shopify theme implementation, vendor follow-up, or live-store verification.

Fix buckets this demo is meant to clarify

Shown in the demo direction

  • Contrast and shared text token corrections
  • Heading order and structural cleanup
  • Landmark and page-region improvements
  • Form labeling, instructions, and autocomplete expectations
  • Focus visibility and keyboard review expectations

Still requires implementation verification

  • Applying these changes in the actual Shopify theme
  • Reviewing runtime-only surfaces such as cart, checkout, and account flows
  • Verifying third-party widget behavior on the live store
  • Final manual testing after implementation

Carve-outs

Shopify theme implementation

Theme code still needs to be updated in Shopify

This demo does not itself update Hemlock's production theme. It shows the target outcome that should be implemented in the actual theme after approval.

Vendor/app follow-up

Widget-specific issues may require vendor review

Where selectors clearly point to third-party app markup, those items should still be validated and routed separately.

Live-store verification

Production behavior still needs final testing

After implementation in the real theme, the live storefront should be retested with keyboard, screen-reader spot checks, and automated scans.

Approval goal

The goal of this review is to confirm that the corrected accessible direction preserves Hemlock's look and feel closely enough to use as the blueprint for live Shopify implementation.
